Earlier this week, we posted an article relating to where the highest incidents of bullying are taking place.

This recent article pertains to a young bullied teen who committed suicide—which some are saying is attributed to his work manager. Apparently, bullying is not uncommon in the district where the teen went to school, yet school leaders did not respond to complaints.

This is another reason why the Rainbow Rabbit stresses that our programs are necessary at a young age before it’s too late to teach tolerance and acceptance among young children.

Despite being just 16 years of age, Pittsburgh native and America’s Got Talent finalist Jackie Evancho has lived quite an interesting life. It will get even more interesting on Friday, January 20, 2017, when Evancho sings the National Anthem at Donald Trump’s Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C.

However, despite Evancho’s seemingly storied life for such a young age, it doesn’t make her exempt from being the target of some severe bullying at her high school back home. The insults are not just directed at Jackie, but her transgender sister as well.

First Federal Bullying Lawsuit To Be Filed

A federal bullying lawsuit is being filed by Louisville attorney Ted Gordon and parents of six children who claim their children, who attend Crosby Middle School in Louisville, Kentucky, were sometimes viciously bullied and even assaulted, but the school staff failed to take action against these alleged incidents.

Bullying Can Have Harmful Long-Term Effects

Bullying is a systematic abuse of power defined as aggressive behavior and intentional harm-doing by peers, that is carried out repeatedly and involves some sort of victimization. It can manifest itself in a number of different ways, and it does not necessarily have to be physical. For example, excluding a peer from a social group or ostracizing a physical characteristic.

Mrs. Chicago International 2016 Nicole Zwiercan!

We are very happy to announce that Nicole Zwiercan, Mrs. Chicago international 2016, has joined forces with team Rainbow Rabbit. Nicole will be using the platform of bullying over the next year to visit schools and give advice and encouragement to the thousands of adults and children who are bullied daily. Nicole also has a blog titled “It’s Simple. Be Kind,” which focuses on her family and chronicles her journey to put an end to bullying,
