National Bullying Prevention Month 2019 Has Arrived

national bullying prevention month 2019

Each October, National Bullying Prevention Month brings attention to the bullying epidemic in our country. At the same time, it encourages schools, parents, teachers, children and communities to promote kindness towards all. Rainbow Rabbit is taking part in National Bullying Prevention Month 2019. Here are several ways you can, too!

Be an “Upstander” – Becoming friends with others at school or making them feel included. All a bullied child needs is a helping hand, or someone to make them feel welcomed and let them know that they are not alone. It can make a world of difference, and could literally save a life.

Make a Difference – According to the National Center for Educational Statistics, one out of every five students report being bullied during the school year. Young students often feel inclined to help more if they are making an impact, so obviously, let them know their impact!

Wear Orange for ‘Unity Day’Unity Day is Wednesday, October 23rd. This, of course, is the signature event of National Bullying Prevention Month 2019. Acceptance and inclusion are all celebrated on this day. So naturally put your best foot forward, send messages of kindness to others and stand united against bullying through as many forms as you can.

Use Rainbow Rabbit’s Anti-Bullying Educational/Kindness Program during a week of lessons – Our programs celebrate uniqueness reward kindness, and can be used in many forms: During the course of a regular school year, various themed weeks involving kindness, acceptance, diversity, unity and inclusion, or to compliment current programs being used in learning institutions and/or with clinical therapists.

Your School Can Win A Rainbow Rabbit Program

Once again, Rainbow Rabbit Educational Services, Corp. will be offering a complimentary Rainbow Rabbit Anti-Bullying Educational/Kindness Program!

Here’s how you can apply and have the program featured at your school:

Write an essay explaining why you believe your school is deserving of the program. The winner receives a complimentary Rainbow Rabbit Anti-Bullying/Kindness Educational Program for the 2019-20 school year.  Equally important are bonus points for creativity. For instance, the class of a previous winner earned a scoop of popcorn for a “Team Work” jar for acts of kindness. Each time the jar fills, they pick something they want for the classroom. Fittingly, they chose a Rainbow Rabbit colector’s plush!

The deadline for the entry is 12 am (EST) on Wednesday, October 30th, 2019. Email entries can be submitted to [email protected] or sent via Facebook Messenger on our Facebook page. We will make the announcement during the first week of November.

Good luck to everybody submitting!

National Bullying Prevention Month originated in 2006 by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center. The purpose of the program is to unite people and communities around the world. As a result, it brings awareness to the bullying epidemic. Sadly, this doesn’t seem to be going away, and is still affecting children and young teenagers everywhere.
